With over 200 guests, live music from Brian Bulger, and barnyard animals, the 2023 Backyard Bash at the I Pour Life house was a great success! The goal of the Backyard Bash event is to help the youth integrate themselves into the community through social interaction and to create lasting friendships and connections.
Music, Prizes, and Pie, Oh My!
The evening was filled with fun and laughter as the activities of the night began! The community got to participate in games, such as a scavenger hunt, raffle prizes, and more. We received generous donations from local companies who helped to support I Pour Life at the Backyard Bash event. A special thank you to Chick-Fil-A, Hammons Field, Aquarium at the Boardwalk, Echelon Coffee, and Pirates Cove Mini Golf.
The competition is on as we now have an undefeated champion for the annual pie eating contest! As the community gathered around to watch the exciting event, 10 individuals took on the challenge, leaving only one winner! The night was beautifully concluded with a spectacular performance by Brian Bulger and his band. The benches began to fill as everyone swayed together to Brian’s fun performance. The community had such a blast interacting with the barnyard animals from Sparkle Party Ponies and Petting Zoo! The goat, pony, and chicken perfectly encapsulated the country-theme of the event.
Eats and Treats!
We had some amazing vendors present at the event, providing plentiful options of delicious foods! Starting with dinner, our guests attending the Backyard Bash had the choice between two incredible food trucks. From delectable BBQ nachos from Billy Bob’s Barbecue to the best smash cheeseburger from The Almighty Sando Shop. To top that all off, a sweet treat was served from NoBaked Cookie Dough!
The Vision
All of this fun and excitement had a specific purpose, to introduce our organization to members of the community! The goal being to help the youth in our program integrate themselves into the community through social interaction and to create lasting friendships and connections. Many of these youth do not have access to positive relationships in their lives, I Pour Life hopes to change that, one event at a time!
We want to thank everyone who donated their time and support to help make this event possible. The support from these individuals creates lasting impacts in the lives of the youth that we serve at I Pour Life. Our overall vision at I Pour Life is to ensure every youth served experiences positive growth and development through the introduction of life skills and build the social capital necessary to successfully transition into adulthood. This event allowed us to fulfill that vision!
