Picture this: a trip back to neon, VHS tapes, Rubik’s Cubes, Pac-Man, and everything was synthesized sounds! This year’s annual Guy’s Night Event was totally tubular, a night of pure nostalgia and retro vibes!
Totally Tubular Night!
On September 17th, boys ages 14-24 got together at the 1984 Arcade in Springfield, Missouri, to join in fun and fellowship with one another. The evening was a blast with games, 80s-themed snacks, and amazing prize giveaways for the guys! The boys laced up their high-top sneakers and dusted off their boomboxes as they prepared for the unforgettable night ahead. Retro refreshments were served to keep the energy levels high for the evening. There was pizza, Funyuns, Pac-Man cookies, cheese puffs, and more!
A big thank you to 1984 Arcade for allowing us to enjoy rad arcade games such as Tetris, Donkey Kong, Galaga, and pinball! We would also like to extend our appreciation to all of the staff and LifeCrew who came to enjoy the night with the boys; we could not have done it without your heart and service!
Strengthening Camaraderie
The annual Guys Night allows youth to create lasting memories with their peers, volunteers, and staff at I Pour Life. The event encourages intentional time to grow closer with the youth to build stronger relationships. These fun activities allow for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for open and genuine conversations. This year’s Guy’s Night allowed many youth to form shared experiences that will become lifelong memories.
