LifeStrengths Missouri

LifeStrengths was launched in Springfield, Missouri in 2015 to meet the unique needs of at-risk youth.

Site-Based LifeCoaching

As LifeStrengths grew, we realized that one of the best ways to reach youth was to start in the schools. Site-based coaches act as a critical support to teachers and counselors within the school to help ensure youth don’t fall through the cracks in high school. In 2017, LifeStrengths started site-based coaching at Reeds Spring High School and will be launching in Ozark High School in fall 2018 and Springfield Public Schools soon!

In 2015, I Pour Life conducted a community assessment with Missouri State University and realized that at-risk youth were underserved in the community. Youth were often able to have their immediate needs met, but few were investing in the development of these youth to help them become independent and self-sufficient adults. Out of this assessment, LifeStrengths was birthed and has now grown into a recognized innovative solution for helping at-risk youth in the Springfield community leave past labels behind and successfully transition into adulthood.

We appreciate the mentoring relationship that IPL provides our girls as it goes above and beyond a weekly interaction and nurtures an experience that calls our girls to bigger and better things. IPL mentors have been able to model what it means for our girls to be respectful and responsible young women. Their presence in the lives of our girls has had a long-lasting and influential impact.

Three years ago I never thought that I would have so many women that cared so deeply about me. Now I have so many I am so lucky to have my mom and my I Pour Life LifeCoaches and the directors of two programs and a friend who care about me as their own child. I am one of the luckiest twenty-year-olds out there. I love all of you I know I don’t say it enough. But I appreciate all that you guys do on a daily basis. My life is so much better with you guys. Thank you for showing me how to live life and love God with all my heart.
