Last year, I Pour Life participated in our first North Texas Giving Day. Through tremendous community generosity, we raised $20,000, greatly exceeding the average amount for a first-time 501(c)3 participant.

The fundraiser allowed I Pour Life North Texas to hire a male LifeCoach for John Leslie Patton Jr. Academic Center in the Dallas Independent School District. With the presence of both a male and female LifeCoach in this school, we were able to develop and coach 41 at-risk and homeless students culminating to their graduation in the spring.

Looking forward to the 2019 North Texas Giving Day on September 19th, we want to encourage local Texans to support the development of at-risk youth in the community. Plenty of programs provide the relief and rehabilitation these youth need, but I Pour Life is the only organization that provides the social capital and sustainable life skills development to encourage complete self-sufficiency.

Everyone can be a philanthropist! Make a difference in the lives of youth by preparing your gift to I Pour Life for North Texas Giving Day. With your financial support, we will be able to expand the LifeStrengths program to more schools across North Texas. Your contributions will allow at-risk youth to work one-on-one with a LifeCoach to get them to a place of sustainability, reaching goals that seemed unattainable on their own.

Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform.

The event helps build awareness and support for nonprofits like nothing else. In 2018, over $48 million was raised through more than 157,000 gifts benefiting 2,700 local nonprofits, bringing the ten-year total to over $240 million for our community. North Texas Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.
